Estimator – Commercial and Industrial Flooring

Location:  Seattle, WA

We are seeking a high energy, highly effective, detail oriented estimator to bring in business in the local and regional market.  We are premier flooring, Division 9 contractor in the area with over 50 years of experience in the industry.  We also have a marine division installing interior flooring and exterior non-skid coatings. 

If you have experience (5+ years) as a commercial flooring estimator we want to talk with you about your future with us.  You will be responsible for:

• Soliciting bids, preparing and tracking bids and effectively communicate bid specs.

• Review project specifications and drawings and complete estimates.
• Prepare takeoffs.
• Ability to procure $2MM/year awards through completion of bid and acceptance processes.
• Complete submittals, construction documents and project closeout.
• Be able to troubleshoot potential problems.
• Demonstrated experience in bringing in on-budget jobs and handling growth in job via change orders.

Qualifications:  We prefer 2-4 years college but experience will substitute, especially for those who worked their way up from installing.  •Experience developing and maintaining good customer relations with General Contractors and Project Managers.  •Demonstrates good reporting and documentation skills •Experience with managing submittals and samples. •Knowledge of project management, job cost analysis, MS programs. •Able to meet deadlines •Experience with Change Order Management •Ability to prioritize time •Must be self-directed and require minimal supervision.
